Machine Summary 
The Model GMK-3200 machine is external tooth milling machine; The model GMK-3200N machine is internal tooth milling one. Both of them are of 5-axis control ones. Based on the principle of single-index forming milling, the machines are able to cut helical gears with Z and C-axis coordinated control. They are designed for manufacturing spur gears, helical gears(shaft, disc and internal gears) and slightly tapered & crowning gears with larger diameter, etc.
The machines have the features of high efficiency and rigidity. They are specially used for the industries to manufacture gears, such as wind power, engineering machinery, large-sized speed reducer, etc.
 
Main features
1. The machine is of 5 axes with 3 axes coordinated control, its five CNC axes as follow: 
A-axis--cutter head swivel motion;
B-axis--milling cutter spindle rotary motion; 
C-axis--worktable rotary motion;
X-axis--radial feed motion;
Z-axis--axial feed motion;
2. Three axes coordinated control of the standard machine: C,X and Z.

Main functions and Its construction.
General arrangement
With vertical design, the worktable is fixed while the column is moveable. The CNC control system is semi-closed loop control. Position loop is set on moveable ball screw or close to terminal components as possible.
Construction of main components
1. The machine consists of the bed, column, worktable, slide, internal & external milling tooth cutter head, chip conveyor, cooling, hydraulic and lubrication systems, electrical and CNC control systems as well as accessories.
2. Either imported super precision linear recirculating roller guidance system and guideways covered by steel or hydraulic cylinder controlled gib and HNT ample rectangle guideways coated by anti-worm Teflon are used for the machine. The bed is welded steel plate construction. The other bulky components are of double-wall, rib-reinforced solid casting constructional ones to improve integrated rigidity of the machine and suit for large feed rate and high powerful cutting.
3. Special rolling bearings for milling cutter box spindle. Double-way transmission and axial cylinder clearance-eliminating mechanism to eliminate driving clearance are adopted to ensure enough good rigidity, good anti-vibration and consistent accuracy.
4. The cutter spindle is driven by an AC spindle motor with water cooling, servo-axis is driven by an AC servo motor. Spindle overload monitoring and alarm device is available. The milling cutter is locked by hydraulic nut.
5. Large hydrostatic bearings and super precision double-worm gearings are used for the worktable. The worms are also supported by hydrostatic bearings to carry out cleanrance-free transmission of the worktable as well as dynamic locking positioning for the worktable.
6. Milling cutter head swiveling motion is carried out by a motor through speed reducer, worm gearing, and pinion driving large(external)gear. The cutter head is clamped by butterfly spring and released by a cylinder.
7. Balance cylinder is designed on the column to balance the weight of slide and the cutter head. Discharge device is arranged on the guideways between the column and the bed to reduce the load of X-axis.
8. Supper precision rolling bearings and ball screw pair are used for the key parts.
9. Functions of the electrical control system are very well, so that it has the features of easy operation, safe and reliable performance.
10. The machine is equipped with semi-enclosed guards. The guard door is of push-pull type and can be widely opened in one direction.
